One Year.

Marty and I celebrated our one year anniversary on Monday. I can’t believe that a year has already passed – one year? Really?

The past year has been truly wonderful and full of amazing shared adventures.

I have married a compassionate, thoughtful, loving, Godly man who just happens to be my best friend.

I won’t say that it has been a perfect year; of course we’ve had our ups and downs (just like every other newly married couple has while trying to combine two ‘once-separate’ lives) but it has truly been an incredible year.

I can’t wait to celebrate many more anniversaries with this one.

I love you Marty. Looking forward to our second year together. ❤

Quick Anniversary Recap:
After I ran the half-marathon, Marty and I enjoyed lunch at Northstar Cafe then headed out to Granville, Ohio where we were married last year.

We stayed at the same B&B and enjoyed a laid-back, relaxed evening with one another.

We drank some red wine and laid in hammocks.

We reminisced on the front porch (where we said our vows just one year prior.)

We had a romantic dinner at the Granville Inn and drinks at the Broadway Pub afterwards.

The next morning we woke up early to watch the sunrise.

  1. Happy anniversary, Diane! Looks like a lovely spot for a wedding. What a great idea to return on your anniversary. Your wedding dress is gorgeous–I love wedding dresses with lace accents, specifically in the sleeves.

Refresh my memory, is that your golden retriever? If so, holy smokes, he’s a cutie!

    1. Thanks Emily! B&B’s are so much fun – I’ve stayed in a few and I always find them so charming and much more personal than a hotel.

Also, I wish you and Jordan lived closer! Marty and I need a couple to have double date nights with! All of our friends are older with kids and, while we love those friendships, I think it’s important to have friendships with those in the same life stage 🙂
